Have you had the same logo, website, and marketing materials for the past 20 years? If you said yes, then you’re going to want to keep reading. I am going to touch on why it’s a good thing to rebrand and get yourself asking, “Do I need to” based on the different reasons listed below.

Reach New Customers

Has your brand developed since you started it a few years ago? Do you offer new services or has your target market changed? If you answered yes to any of these questions then it is probably a good idea to rebrand your business. Your current logo, website, etc might not speak to your current customers anymore. If you added in a new service your website and other materials should reflect that new change as well. If your brand is evolving then most likely your logo and other marketing materials should be as well.

Stand Out From Your Competitors

Does your website, and logo look identical to your competitors? If you said yes, well I hate to break it to you but it probably shouldn’t. You don’t want to blend into your industry, you want to be the one to stand out from the rest and catch the eye of your consumers. Be the company everyone wants to follow, don’t follow everyone else.

Stay Current

If you created your business in the 1970s and still have the same look and marketing materials most likely your brand isn’t current anymore. Every good brand stays up to date with the trends and their target market as mentioned before. Getting a rebrand doesn’t mean you need to transform the whole look of your logo every time but maybe adding a few tweaks to just bring it to the modern-day age. A good example of this is the Apple logo, as you can see below their logo hasn’t really changed all that much. They just updated it every few years to stay in trend and speak to their target market and what their consumers were attracted to at that time.

Below you will also find a few more examples of other companies that didn’t necessarily change their whole look and most of their consumers probably didn’t even notice it change at the time because they are such subtle updates, but still elevated their logo to reflex the new era and what the consumers were drawn too.

The benefits of rebranding will not only impact your overall look as a company, but it’ll also make your company more profitable if done correctly. Reaching new potential clients, standing out from your competitors, staying current, showcasing your products and services the correct way are all effective ways to increase your profits just by giving your brand a new facelift.
